SOUNDS, SYMBOLS, AND LETTERS
Here are common dictionary symbols, and symbols from the International Phonetic Alphabet
(IPA.)
1. Select either the "Use Words" (easier), or "Use IPA
Sounds" (a little tougher)
2.
Click on any "Listen" button and listen carefully to the IPA sound.
(you can click and listen as many
times as you wish)
3. Scroll the window up or down and click on either the dictionary or IPA symbol that you think matches the
sound you heard.
When you answer correctly, the button will
display "Right!." (Goober gets excited!)
When you answer incorrectly, the button will
show the word "Nope!." (Goober says "oops!")
You must click a sound button prior to each try.
